It is very sad to realise that Ravi is no longer with us and has attained eternal bliss. Ravi and I came from the same village, Kokuvil. He was two years senior to me, and we both attended Jaffna Hindu College during our secondary education. It is remarkable to reflect on the many similarities and connections we shared throughout our lives. We studied at the University of Peradeniya and stayed in the same hostel during our university days. After completing our first degrees, we both pursued Chartered Accountancy and once again stayed together at the Ramakrishna Mission Hostel while studying in Colombo. At a very early stage in our professional lives, we both ventured into business. During our long association, I always found Ravi to be health-conscious, God-fearing, sincere, and honest. After marriage, our families continued to remain close, as we lived along the same road in Colombo and maintained a warm family relationship. It is also noteworthy that, later on, one of my younger brothers married one of Ravi’s sisters. Our sincere condolences to Ravi’s family. May his soul rest in peace.
