Dear Ranji, Ananthy, and family, Please accept our deepest sympathies on your irreparable loss. It gave me so much sorrow when I learned that Sivanandan is no more with us. I have so many memories of him and remember the fun, and lovely times we had together at the Institute of Practical Technology, Kattubedde, and later in the Telecommunication Department Colombo where we worked in the same capacity before he left for London. While in Sri Lanka he became a friend of our family. We made mutual visits to each other's family. I liked his light-heartedness and humor and in his presence, most friends felt entertained and inspired. His gentle spirit and friendly personality won the hearts of his friends and colleagues. We treasure the time we spent with you all in Leicester and Toronto. I admired his courage and positive attitude when he faced his heart problems. I am thankful to his sister Archie from Toronto who kept me informed of his fight with courage for his health. He will never be forgotten for his love for the family and friends.
