So sad to learn the untimely loss of Jayenthiran during his family's visit to India. Our heartfelt condolences to his dear spouse Kala and their son, and to his other family members. It was my pleasure to have been in brief contact with him in 1976 during my visit to Toronto from Ottawa, and the young man was sharing an apartment with his friend, a Frenchman. Jeyenthiran was a pleasantly social person besides being good in his cooking as well. It is my recollection that his friend enjoyed all kinds of food. Being a Frenchman, his only complaint was that we all cook for a long time but the actual mealtime was not long enough! Jeyenthiran was an active member of the community and was active in the Toronto Tamil community following the effect of 1980s crisis for our community back in the homeland. A gentle person, and our community will dearly miss his presence in Toronto. May God bless his soul. Rest in peace dear Jeyenthiran.
Mr. Jeja Kandavanam and his wife Kala have been my neighbours for over 40 years, and I have always found them to be pleasant and welcoming. I was shocked to find out that Jeja passed away suddenly....
