It was with deep sorrow that we heard that Manicks had passed away. Manicks and I joined Royal Primary School in 1945 and together entered Royal College in 1949. Our batch of entrees were known as the Class of ’49. A distinguished batch in many ways. We were at Royal till 1956. During that time Manicks and I became good friends and remained so even after leaving College. I used to visit him when he was residing at Janaki Lane in Bambalapitiya. Manicks was an affable, genial person with a quiet sense of humour. Manicks will be fondly remembered and very sadly missed. My wife and I send our heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to Manick’s family.
