Kamala akka was our neighbour from Rajasinghe Road, Colombo, Sri Lanka. My parents, siblings and I have known her and her whole family since 1965. She used to play flute and teach as well. She was a well known flutist in Sri Lanka. She also worked in Radio Ceylon. They were very good neighbours. Even after she came to Canada we all have visited her and my mum has kept in contact. Good memories of our neighbour will be with us always. Our sincere condolences to all Kamala akka's family. May her soul rest in peace with the sound of calming flute she played.
