With deep sadness, we mourn the passing of our beloved maternal granduncle Eric, the last surviving brother of the Manuelpillai siblings. As the brother of our beloved maternal grandfather - Gerald Bernard Manuelpillai, he was a cherished link to a generation and a family history that will always hold a special place in our hearts. He was dearly loved by our grandfather, who often spoke of his brother and shared stories and memories of him and their other siblings with us. Through those stories, we came to know and appreciate the special bond they shared and the place he held in our grandfather’s heart. We feel truly blessed and fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet him and share precious moments with him, during his visit to Sri Lanka. May his gentle soul rest in eternal peace and may God almighty grant him everlasting rest in His loving embrace. Our deepest condolences and prayers are with all who mourn his loss, especially our grandaunt Thavum, Uncle Joe, Aunty Thaya and everyone at home. With love and prayers,
