Srivas President Vice President Treasurer Secretary Adviser On behalf of the Federation of International Tamils, we would like to pass on our deepest condolences after the passing of Dr. Ram Sivalingam, who sadly died on 9th January 2021 after battling a brief illness with fortitude and dignity. It brings true sadness to our heart to learn of the passing of our organisation founder and Chairman. He was an inspiring leader who used his voice on behalf of Eelam Tamils for their suffering in homeland and bravely call for their freedom. This was a mark of real courage, which we hope will continue to inspire other Tamil diaspora organisation around the world. Dr. Ram Sivalingam’s demise triggered a wave of shock among the Tamil community and grief with leaders cutting across political spectrum paying glowing tributes to his lasting contribution immensely to nation-building. He was always on the front-line of our international solidarity. He was multi-faceted, having impeccable knowledge about Tamil political history, public policy, governance and administration, which required to win our path to freedom. The Tamil people of North and East will never forget him but will always remember him, as his spirit continues to guide and inspire us in our struggle for freedom. Dr. Ram Sivalingam will be part of our history which will record his incredible effort to help bring about our freedom. With his spirit we will continue to peacefully struggle to liberate our people and with the support of all diaspora and Tamil people everywhere, we know that we are ever closer to the long road to freedom. Our condolences to his wife, children, friends & admirers. Our thoughts and prayers are with them in this time of grief.
