It is with great sadness we express our heartfelt condolences to Aunty Mahesh at the demise of our beloved Uncle Sitha. Uncle was such an formidable individual, his personality spoke volumes of his character. He was revered and respected by the Srilankan tamil community at the highest esteem. Aunty and Uncle were our family friends for over four decades. During that time Uncle and Aunty would have attended many of our family events, whether they were happy or sad occassions. One of Uncle's great passion was photography, not only he took photographs of the respective events, he took the time and trouble to make albums and gave them to us. This was Uncle Sitha. In 1993, when Uncle Sitha was the Chairman of Tamil Refugee Action Group (TRAG), l lost my beloved Dad, Basil Tisseverasinghe, who was one of the directors at that time. He was the first person l called, that was about 4.00am. and Uncle was there with us within minutes. Our family will never forget this. It was very sudden and we were in a real shock, even Uncle too. Not only that, Uncle helped us with the funeral arrangements as well. He is very much concerned about our children's education and their welfare. Uncle Sitha, you are no more, but the legacy you have left behind which be cherished. May your soul rest in peace. Suri, Dilip Tisseverasinghe and family
