Saddened to hear Mr. Kanakaiyan passed away, a great person, leader, and administrator who held the position of principal at a difficult time when the Advanced Level Science at Vidyananda College was commenced. For his credit, he managed the transition process seamlessly. As part of the process, he would chat ( feedback as I later came to know) with students and that was how I was able to converse with him one-on-one at times. During these chats, from the way he encouraged me to focus on my studies, I was able to sense how keen he had been to see his students using the opportunity and advance. How many students have made use of the opportunity that he pioneered? Only did we visit him a couple of months ago, didn't realize then he would leave us this quickly. His life needs celebration as he has achieved all he would have aspired for in his life, both private and public. A couple of his students' last tributes are "A huge thank you, Sir".
