Pappa was my greatest role model, a true inspiration. He played a big part in molding me to the person I am today. His qualities; kindness, love, intelligence, wisdom, courage, and his joyful spirit are values he passed down to me and all who knew him. I have so many fond memories with him. He would take me to the shops and always buy me sweets, always making sure I had some change in my pocket. His favourite question was always, “Have you eaten?” a small gesture that meant so much. We spent a lot of time outdoors, especially when my parents were at work. Whether it was trips outside or simply gardening, Pappa made those moments special. I remember him helping me plant mango seeds after we’d shared the fruit, encouraging me to water them every day. He had a deep love for music and would dance with such joy, whether at family celebrations or right at home. His humour and laughter lit up every room and brought smiles to his children and grandchildren. Every night, I’d hear him pray with his rosary in hand. And when I was there, he’d ask me to join him, a moment of peace and faith we shared together. Rest easy, Pappa. Your love, laughter, and legacy live on in each of us.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.
