I am very much saddened to hear Mr. Asai Thiyagarajah, I fondly remember as Thiyagu chitthapa passing away. Even though I have not seen him for several years, the time I spent with him and his family during my highschool and medical school days were very pleasant to reminisce. The stories and jokes he told me during those period still fresh in my mind. The trips I made with him to the RVDB and cement corporation jungle sites (Pollanaruwa, Udawalawa, Aruwakalu etc) and the first time climb to the Sigiriya rock and the visit to the Dhambulla rock cave were epic to me. I know he was very proud of being part of 'The Hardy technical institute belonged to the 2 nd batch and personally trained by the eminent Professor Hardy from Winnipeg, Canada. I remember him as easy going, friendly and jovial but he is honest, simple and man with principles. To me very rarely you get to know a person with such caliber and I consider myself so lucky to have him in my life. My deepest condolences to his children and close ones. May his soul rest in peace. ஓம் சாந்தி. 🙏
