Siva Mama passed away so suddenly that none of us will be able to forget the moment we found out. We always had a special bond with Siva Mama from the days we were with Ammamma to the day he moved to soon as we would land in Colombo, he was always the first person that we would go and see. He would open the door with a broad smile and would be happy to see us all. Siva Mama and Rathi Mami would feed us all until we could eat no more. The last time we saw him, we all ate massive amounts of food , all cooked by Rathi Mami and that is something that we would all need forget. There are many memories that we made with Siva Mama which we will cherish forever and we will miss him terribly. Anu has made many great memories with Siva Mama too.' Whenever I stitched a new dress, he was always the first to admire me and give me all sorts of compliments. For my school baking competition, Siva Mama came to the rescue with the amazing recipes for a pineapple pudding and Tapioca Pudding and this led to Suba and myself winning a prize for this. During Siva Mama's wedding, i will never forget the moment he told me off and told me i had to to be on best behaviour and not do anything silly. We all were a massive part in their wedding and that is something we all cherished and enjoyed. Siva Mami will be looked after by us. Siva Mama, rest in peace and your memories will be in our hearts forever.' Rathi Mami's pillar is gone but Pillayar will give her the strength that she needs to live on and get through these hard times. We have one plan but Pillayar has another. His soul will rest in peace.
