We knew Sri for a long time. When I arrived in Manchester in 1985,he was one of those few Tamil people who gave me full of encouragement and moral support. He was always very pleasant and full of curiosity to learn new things particularly in medical field.He attended Manchester Medical Society meetings regularly and never failed to ask very thoughtful questions from the speakers. He was very cultural and spiritual and always very gentle and friendly when interact with other people. I have learned a lot from him both in medicine and humanity. I am going to miss a colleague, friend and a mentor. May his soul rest in peace. Professor Ariyaratnam. University of Manchester.
