It is with great sadness that we notify that Dr Thambimuttu Ganesharatnam attained the lotus feet of Ariyalai Sithivinayagar on Thursday 15 December 2022.

He qualified from Peradeniya Medical Faculty in 1970, before moving to London where he worked in hospital medicine. Subsequently he took up family medicine, and became a senior partner at Parkview Surgery, Burnt Oak, London.

He was a wonderful, jovial person, who was very committed to his practice, and well-loved by his patients. His dedication to medicine was inspiring. He was a very religious person. He will be greatly missed, along with his numerous jokes.

He was the beloved son of Late Thambimuttu and Late Yogamma, admired son-in-law of Late Dr S Paramanathan and Late Vallambikai, loving husband of Lohini, precious father of Kumaran and Vanathy, loving father-in-law of Olivia, and an adoring grandfather of Eva Lakshmi.

He was a dutiful brother to Late Seevaratnam, Late Dr Thanabalaratnam, Late Packiaratnam, Late Pathmavathy and Selvaratna and a supportive uncle to his nieces and nephews.
