Uncle, Twenty-five years ago, when my parent first arrived in the UK, you didn’t just offer them a home but selfless guidance and support, out of the goodness of your heart. When I was born, living next door, you would often visit, bringing food and asking how you could help. Your kindness and compassion never wavered for every child as if they were the future of this world. Though I don’t remember those early years, I would look back at old photos with gratitude and just appreciate all those unrecorded moments. Even in later years, you would reassure and bless me, no matter my struggles. It’s hard to accept that you are no longer with us, but I want to say how deeply honoured I am, that you were a part of our family and a pillar in our lives at an uncertain starting point of our journey. I hope perhaps in another life, your spirit would just be how we all experienced it – full of kindness and wisdom. Rest in Peace always.
