USTAG mourns the passing of our founder member and longtime Tamil activist Mr. Surendra Thurairatnam of Boston, MA. He has been an activist to the core calling for justice and freedom for the Tamils, participating in the many rallies in Washington, New York and Boston, and a community organizer. He has also served in the TGTE and the Boston Tamil Association. Ever a fighter, he fought cancer for 6 years and passed away on the morning of May 18, 2022.
