We were so sad to hear of Ganesh Anna’s passing away. He was a leading light from our childhood days and Vam remembered how he taught him to do high jump in the Pillayar Kovil Vethy nearly 7 decades ago. He is very intelligent, highly innovative and created many things in his life which everyone can be proud of. In his younger days his creation of unique pandal structures in front of his house was amazing and everyone at the temple festivals admired them. His engineering and practical skills are outstanding and he created a paint formulation using materials locally available in Srilanka. He produced the formulated paint in his own factory and doing well but the race riots completely destroyed it. During one of our visits to his home, we were amazed at his electronic engineering skills and how up to date he was. Our children enjoyed a highly intellectual discussions with him during one of our visits. Vam knew of his A/L chemistry practical exam performance the same night as Ganesh was one of the supervising lecturers at Peradeniya University. May his soul attain nibbana and we share the condolences with his family members. Malathy and Vama Vamadeva
