Always Annai, Acca, Chithy, that was her way of talking and yet an only child in her family. A great mother of two daughters, dutiful wife and a loving daughter. Rich circle of friends in her possession worked for Service Canada, a popular librarian for Aaniin Branch. She often laughed at my inept absence in social media as a reclusive introvert I relied on her. Whenever she phoned, people responded warmly. During my visits, Sobhana worked the phones and got me to reconnect my relatives. We have morbid humour, in funerals us often whispering who might be the next? I told Sobhana, cancer surgery altered my ‘use by date’ it's up to you to see me out, she didn’t laugh instead farewelled her mother and left a devastating irony. Last year in TC Timmy’s while she was getting me a French Vanilla, I wrote some names of our common relatives on a serviette.
