இந்தியா தமிழ்நாடு தட்டப்பாறையைப் பிறப்பிடமாகவும், யாழ். கரவெட்டி, மட்டகளப்பு, கொழும்பு, சம்பியா Lusaka, தென்னாபிரிக்கா Transkei, கனடா Toronto ஆகிய இடங்களை வாழ்விடங்களாகவும் கொண்ட சிவநேசச்செல்வியம்மை சந்திரசேகரம் அவர்கள்  25-08-2023 வெள்ளிக்கிழமை அன்று இறைவனடி சேர்ந்தார்.

அன்னார், காலஞ்சென்றவர்களான Dr குழந்தைவேலு பத்தினியம்மை தம்பதிகளின் பாசமிகு மகளும், காலஞ்சென்றவர்களான வெள்ளைய முதலியார் எல்லம்மாள் தம்பதிகளின் அன்பு மருமகளும்,

காலஞ்சென்ற சந்திரசேகரம்(ஓய்வபெற்ற ஆசிரியர்- கனடா) அவர்களின் அருமை மனைவியும்,

Dr. சேயோன், சசி ஆகியோரின் அருமைத் தாயாரும்,

புனிதவதி(இலங்கை), காலஞ்சென்றவர்களான மங்கையர்க்கரசி(இலண்டன்), Dr சிரேஷ்டராஜா(தென்னாபிரிக்கா) ஆகியோரின் அன்புச் சகோதரியும்,

பிறிஸ்னி, சவிற்றா ஆகியோரின் அன்பு அப்பம்மாவும்

காலஞ்சென்றவர்களான ஆறுமுகம், மாணிக்கவாசகர் மற்றும் திலகவதி ஆகியோரின் மைத்துனியும்,

காலஞ்சென்றவர்களான சிவராமலிங்கம், Dr.சிவபாதசுந்தரம், சோமாஸ்கந்தசிவம் ஆகியோரின் உடன்பிறவாச் சகோதரியும்,

Dr. உமாபதி அவர்களின் ஆசைச் சித்தியும்,

விசாகன் அவர்களின்  ஆசையம்மாவும்,

மகேஸ்வரி தங்கராசா, மீனா சிவகுருநாதன், உமாமகேசன், சித்ரா பாலசுப்பிரமணியம், பத்மா வித்தியாசாகரன், குமுதினி பாஸ்கரன், பவானி தேவானந், Dr. பரதன், சேதுபதி பகீரதன், ஆதி தற்பரானந்தன் ஆகியோரின் ஆசையத்தையும் ஆவார்.

Mrs. Chanthirasekaram lived a full life, was sharp of mind but became frail of body near the end. She was loved and respected by those who knew her, especially her family and friends.

All of us will miss her views on life, her wisdom, her compassion, her optimism, her joy, her strength, and her work ethic. We will miss her marvellous cooking, her tremendous energy and passion for life. We will miss her sage advice, more spiritual and philosophical as she grew older and her strong will to hang on against all odds.

She was born in Tattaparai, India to Dr. and Mrs. Kulandaivelu, and was of Sri Lankan decent. She was the second eldest of four surviving children. She had an older sister, the late Mrs. Mangayakarrasi Arumugam (late Mr. V. Thambia Arumugam), a younger sister Mrs. Punitha Marnikkavasagar (late Mr. Kulandaivelu Marnikkavasagar) and a younger brother, the late Dr. Kulandaivelu Siresterajah (Mrs. Thilagavathy Siresterajah).

She studied at Madras Christian College, graduated, and became a teacher. She married her husband, the late Mr. Vellayamudaliar Chanthirasekaram and had two children. She worked as a teacher in Sri Lanka, in Zambia, in Transkei and finally in Canada to where she immigrated with her family in 1987.

She is survived by her two children, Seyone (Mitra) and Sashi; her grand-children, Prishni and Savita; her nephews Umapathy (Dolores), and Visakan (Mythili); her niece Aathy (Thatparananthan); and her extended grand-children in Canada, Mythili, and Mathan. There are others, both relatives and friends, who grieve her passing as well.

She was a unique individual, as all people are, but she was ours. We will miss her dearly. She goes to meet her husband, our father and grandfather. May she rest in peace.
