Dear Lucky and Karthik, Please accept my sincere condolences on your devasting loss.  I knew your father since he was 10 years old.  He was at middle school with Jamuna and I.  Seeing the photo of him in his school tie brought back so many good memories.  He was like a little puppy, joyful, always smiling and good natured.  He was ever helpful and when I lost my ball on the flat roof of Priory Middle School, he somehow climbed up, retrieved it and promptly got told off by the teacher. My family home was in Wimbledon and if we bumped into each other, he’d acknowledge me and we’d chat about nothing in particular, but it was always a pleasure to see his smiling face.  Over the last few decades, I’d pop into Grand Drive and he’d be there; we’d have a good conversation, putting the world to rights. Your father was a big-hearted, funny, generous man, who was very intuitive and knowledgeable about many subjects, which made him interesting to talk to.  I am sad he’s no longer here, as he’s been part of my friendship with Jamuna over the past 40 years.  I hope my words bring you some comfort.  I am sorry I cannot be at his funeral.
