My name is Russ Ramanayake, in the capacity of private secretary to Governor Nalin Seneviratne - NEP, I worked with Mr. Markandu very closely during the period of 1992 to 1993 in his capacity as the Secretary to Presidential Mobile Services under the President of Sri Lanka. Mr. Markandu was one of the most honorable civil servants I ever worked with in Sri Lanka. I always missed his kind gesture and work ethics forever.
