We are deeply saddened by the loss of our great family friend, a sincere devotee, and a life member of Sri Kanagathurkkai Amman Temple, London and it’s former Secretary of the Executive Committee SIVAKUMRAN. He was a great person to work with and cared deeply about the communities. His vision of life was truly remarkable. In fact he was one of the pioneers who worked hard to establish a permanent place to house ‘Amman Statue’ as a place of worship in Ealing. Besides, he was the only member of the Executive Committee fortunate to attend with his family in India to choose the Devine Granite Stone and to perform the Rituals, for the Sthapathi to mark the image of “ Thurkkai Amman” and to carve the Amman Statue currently housed in the Sanctum of our renowned Temple and described as the great bestower of booms by many devotees. Thevi, be proud of your husband-Sankar, Kanesh be proud of your Dad. His life has ended but his legacy of wisdom and courage will go on for ever in your generation.
