மோஹன்ராஜ், ஜெயந்தி(UK), காலஞ்சென்ற மனோராஜ், ஷோபனா(Australia) ஆகியோரின் அன்புச் சகோதரரும்,

காலஞ்சென்ற தேவகுமாரி, லோகநாதன்(UK), ரேணுகா, கிருபநாதன்(Australia), காலஞ்சென்றவர்களான சிவாநந்தன், சத்யநாதன் மற்றும் மல்லிகாதேவி(Singapore), சுசீலாதேவி, கிரிஜாதேவி, காலஞ்சென்ற அன்பாநந்தன் ஆகியோரின் அருமை மைத்துனரும்,

ஷோபனா(Singapore), ரோக்யா(Singapore), காலஞ்சென்ற விக்னராஜா, பத்மநாதன், தர்மரட்னம் ஆகியோரின் பாசமிகு சகலனும்,

மேலும் பெறாமக்கள், மருமக்களின் பாசமிகு மாமாவும், சித்தப்பாவும் ஆவார்.

Vinoraj Sathianathan, 67, of Ajax, Ontario, Canada, passed peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2026 at Toronto General Hospital, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Fondly known as Vino, he was born on November 9, 1958, to Maheswary Sathianathan and Sathianathan Vellupillai, in Manipay, Jaffna, Sri Lanka.

He attended St. John’s College, Jaffna, Sri Lanka, before leaving his home at 16 years to pursue employment at sea with Neptune Orient Lines. He completed advanced education, qualifying as a Master Mariner and going on to become a ship captain with Oldendorff Carriers, shipping container and cargo transportation company, where he traveled to many sea ports all over the world.

He immigrated to Canada in 1990. He married Usha Devi on June 6, 1992. Together they share two daughters, Danusha and Tasha.

Vino worked exceptionally hard his entire life to create the best life for his wife and children. In Canada, he worked for Avery Dennison, which afforded him opportunities to travel abroad and relocate to New Jersey for work. His most recent employer was CCL Industries where he was able to fulfill a life-long dream, working in Ashford, United Kingdom as a General Manager.

Vino is survived by his wife of 34 years, Usha Devi Vinoraj, daughters Danusha Vinoraj (Mohan Sivapatham), Tasha Nesam Vinoraj (Matthew Mendoza), and cats Ember and Pez. Survived by siblings Mohanraj, Jayanthi (Loganathan), and Shobana (Kirupananthan). He is also survived by in-laws Malika Devi, Susila Devi (Pathmanathan), Grija Devi (Tharmaratnam), and Renuka. Numerous nephews, nieces, grandnephews, and grandnieces remember him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sathianathan Vellupillai, Maheswary Sathianathan, in laws Nesama Thilliampalam, Thilliampalam Nallathamby, sibling Manoraj, sister-in-law Devakumari, and brother-in-laws Sivananthan, Sathiananthan, Vignarajah and Anpananthan.
