Today we remember and honour my Sinnamma, a remarkable woman whose life was a blessing to everyone who knew her. She had a way of making people feel seen, welcomed, and loved, often without saying much at all. Her kindness was quiet yet powerful, evident in her actions, generosity, and deep care for her family. Sinnamma was more than an aunt to me; she was a source of guidance, comfort, and strength. She was my mentor during my early education in Batticaloa. Her smile could lighten even the heaviest moments, and her wisdom often arrived at just the right time. She carried herself with grace, resilience, and an unwavering love for those around her. Though her absence leaves a space that can never be fully filled, her legacy lives on in the memories we cherish, the lessons she taught us, and the love she gave so freely. We will continue to feel her presence in the stories we share, the values she instilled, and the bonds she helped forge within our family. Rest in peace, Sinnamma.
