We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing away of Mr. S. Ratnapragasam. He was an erstwhile student of Kokuvil Hindu College and studied under the Late C.K.Kanthswami (father and father in law respectively to us). For many years we used to hear what a brilliant student Mr.Ratnapragasam was and his success as a senior auditor at the Central Bank in Colombo where he served for many years. He was well known not only for his academic and professional success but also for his upright, gentlemanly nature and for the love he had for his alma mater. He was an enthusiastic contributor to the OSA in Colombo. We came to know Mr.Ratnapragasam closely when we visited Colombo, and later when he came to London to live with his son Sugu and daughter-in-law Thara. His demise is indeed a great loss for the Tamil community. We extend our deepest sympathies to the family.
