Mrs Rasamany Chelliah who was born in Thoppu, Achchuveli, lived in Wellawatta and Pinner, passed away on 24th October 2025 in London.

She was a teacher at Arulnanthi Vidayalayam, Kotahena Primary School and Pamankada Tamil School.

Mrs Rasamany Chelliah is the beloved wife of the late Vallipuram Chelliah, who was a bank clerk at the Indian Overseas Bank in Colombo.

Beloved sister of the late Sinnathurai Ponniah.

Beloved mother of the late Chelliah Sivakumar, Sivaneswary Canagasundaram, Chelliah Ganesharajah, Chelliah Selvathasan and Saraswathy Vivekanandarajah.

Beloved mother-in-law of Sri Ranjana Sivakumar, Canagasundaram Chellappah, Lukshmi Ganesharajah, Amirtha Selvathasan and Arumugam Vivekanandarajah.

Beloved grandmother of Atchuthan, Atchana, Shagira, Haraesh, Guruparan, Darani, Wignesh, Ayuran, Thivyaa, Arun and Shalini.

Beloved grandmother-in-law of Venodini, Suren, Ahila, Luxshajine, Santhia, Benjamin, Victoria and Thines.
