Bala uncle has been an integral part of our lives and a source of support and guidance for our family at every turn. It would be a rare week that we don’t answer the home phone to hear Bala uncle’s kind voice. Always ready to talk about the latest Tamil movie. We always felt that Bala uncle was family and not just Appa’s best friend. Though we rarely lived in the same country as him, seeing Bala uncle meant being showered with thoughtful gifts. His open-mindedness and friendly demeanour made him easy to talk to at every stage of our lives. We will truly miss him and the opportunity to share our future milestones with him.
