In New Zealand (where our son now lives), the Māori mark their new year by remembering the loved ones that have passed, and they tell tales of Taramainuku who casts his net down to gather these souls and carry them through the underworld where they’re released into the sky to become stars. Raj is now one of those stars and whenever we look to the heavens we’ll remember sharing our joy, our laughter - and sometimes our tears - with him, through the best and worst of times.
