Mr. Navaratnam Jeyachandran was born in Thirunelveli, Jaffna, Sri Lanka on May 8, 1950 and attended St. John's College, Jaffna. He later lived in Wembley, England for 49 years, before he attained the heavenly abode on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

He was the son of late Mr. P.C. Navaratnam and late Mrs. Thangaratnam (Seeni Acca) and beloved husband of late Mrs. Punithavathy. He was the son-in-law of late Mr. Vairavanthan and late Mrs. Thanaluxmy.

He was the loving brother of late Mr. Balachandran and Mrs. Balasaraswathy (Sri Lanka). He was the loyal brother in law of Atputhadevi, Srirajalingam (Sri Lanka), Prema + late Sriskandarajah (Canada), Pushpa + Kunasingham (UK), Kugan + Sorupa, Satkuru + Pushpa, and Bala + Damayanthi (Canada).

He was the dear periappa of Krishni + Teeshan, Annushant (UK) and dear sithappa of Surendran + Sharmini, Raveendran + Krisha, Dr. Kumarendran + Verni (UK), Shobana + Sujee, Anojana + Shibo (Canada). He was the dear Maama of Prahalathan + Chandrika (USA), Manoramya + Nirul (Australia), Karthika + Andrew, Vaithiga + Arjun, Thuvaraga, Vijinthan, Darsha, Nishanthan + Adriana, Abirami (Canada).

He was the loving grandpa of Skylan, Shaylan, Pehralan, Vaakini, Rossene, Seyon (UK), Tanya, Sachin (USA), Madhuraa, Shuwethaa, Achalah (Australia), Neha, Neera, Shiana, Ziyara, Ishara, Nara, Solaya, Kai, Austin (Canada).
