*Sivarama Aththan* was known for his simplicity and humility. He was a wonderful person to engage with in an intellectual discussion, yet he could relate so easily and naturally to anyone. He was a man of principles who pursued them steadfastly. His *commitment to animal protection and veganism was a legacy he built and promoted at many levels*. He was a strict adherent to his vegan principles, even while travelling. He would rather go without a meal than compromise on them. *We will miss a dear friend, a mentor, and a strong man who stood firmly for noble causes.* *Farewell, Aththan*. We will miss you dearly.
