Rest in Peace
Mr Nadarajah Thirugnanasampanthapillai

We are in prolonged mourning over the loss of another most beloved uncle. Thiru Uncle/Thiru Chitthappah to me and some of my cousins. Thiru periappah/Thiru mama to my other cousins. Thiru Uncle was the most dutiful father and uncle. Thiru Uncle was so proud of and loved his 3 boys so much. He raised them to be respectful, religious, and disciplined. He also treated his own nieces and nephews like his own children and would go to great lengths to ensure we were all doing okay. Thiru Uncle regularly checked-in with all of us and has always offered deep words of wisdom and support. Particularly at one point in my life I was going through a very challenging experience and Thiru Uncle provided the most devotional words: “When we are going through difficulties most people cry. But we shouldn’t cry. Instead, we should smile because our bad karma is leaving us.” Out of all of my father’s brothers, Thiru Uncle was the most religious and spiritual. He took his spiritual duty (dharma) so seriously that watching him has inspired me through challenges in my own life. Appah was always so fond of Thiru Uncle and Thiru Uncle never hesitated to fulfill any requests that Appah asked of him. Thiru uncle was also incredibly intelligent and academic. He was an engineer and completed his master’s degree at a prestigious university in England. However, I cannot recall a time where Thiru uncle didn’t remain humble about his accomplishments. He always encouraged me to do better and “come up” as he would say, “don’t focus on the past. You have to move forward and come up”. We, as a family, have just lost Vel Uncle a matter of a few months ago and were still in a state of grief. The sudden death of Thiru Uncle had made our grief much more compounded and difficult. My heart goes out to my aunt and my 3 cousins. There are no words to express how incredibly difficult it is to lose a most beloved parent. We love you and miss you Thiru Uncle.
