Dearest papa aunty, Deeply upset I couldn’t see you before you passed. I did not think you would leave us so soon. I fondly cherish our memories with you back in Ilavalai where I grew up. I remember coming to your home almost daily when papa would visit you morning and night. You and papa would talk for hours about anything. You always called me periyaval and your daughter Caroline chinnaval. Whenever I did well in anything you were quick to praise me. I remember your coconut roti that you would make for us often, and never failed to ask if I had eaten. There is a lot to say, much of which I can’t put in writing briefly.
