

Mary Josephine Mariyanayagampillai was born in Delft East, Jaffna lived in New Jersey USA and passed away on Sunday 22th March 2020.
*She celebrated 69 years of joyful married life. Around a week after his passing, she bid us farewell to heaven on Sunday 22nd March, 2020 at 94years of age (a few hours after her husband’s funeral service).*
She is the lovely wife of Gnanapragasam Marianayagampillai(Ponnuchamy),Delft.
She is the daughter of late Ambalavanar Thiruchelvam, Headmaster(DelftWest) and late Annamma of Periyathottam, Delft East and daughter-in-law of Joseph Gnanapragasam (Head teacher Ilavalai St.Henrys Primary, Jaffna OLR Roman Catholic & Delft Roman Catholic schools) and late Victoriapillai, Delft East.
She is the beloved mother of Thavanayagam, Jeyanayagam(Jeyan), Mathivathani(Mathy), Easaneehai(Easan/Papa), Suhirthanayagam(Suhir).
Mother-in-law of Gowri, Kirubarani, Anthony, Devi, Shaila, and Ron.
She is survived by her brother Devathas(TAX) USA & Daisy(USA) and also the sister of late Annamalar(Toronto), late Rev Sis Dominic(Sri Lanka), late Rev Sis Philomina(New Zealand) and late Thiru(Pius).
She is the sister-in-law of Rev. Sis. Pushpam(Retired Mother superior Jaffna Provincialate) and of the following late Mary Anthoniapillai(UK), Mariaroganampillai(Thuraichamy), Maamani(UK), Baptist(Rasa- Toronto), Antonypillai(Sri Lanka), Theresamalar(Malar- UK), Rajaratnam(Sri Lanka), Sebastiampillai(Sri Lanka), Jeevaratnam(UK), and Thiagarajah(UK).
She is the most loved grand mother of Carlothayan(Carlo), Haren, late Neelan, Kohila, Mydili, Ravivarman(Varun), Janeni, Shaaranya, Thevika, Rathika and Ampahl.
She is blessed with great-grand children Neela and Julius.
Funeral is on Tuesday, March 24 at a private function(Due to nation wide social isolation requirements by law.) in Pennsylvania.***Please be noted that a public memorial service will be held once the travel and social gathering restrictions have been lifted.
