Dear Mohan (my Friend) and Sithappa of Mythili Manoharan: For over 30 years, I kept searching, but I finally had the chance to meet Mohan Anna at his own funeral. The moment I received the notice of his passing from his niece, something told me that I knew this person. However, it wasn't until the day of the funeral that my instincts began to make sense. Back in the early '90s, when I was a teenager, I met Mohan Anna through my brother-in-law. His brother was friends with my brother-in-law. We hit it off from day one. I can still vividly recall our first meeting, how he immediately embraced me as his own brother. The time I spent with him was all memorable. His smiles, his way of treating others, and his life perspective were all truly admirable. As I stood by his casket, I felt a deep desire to cry out, to express my anger at not being able to meet him again in life. But then, I reminded myself that he had shared some wonderful moments with me, and I should treasure those memories in my heart. There are countless memories, but his wedding stands out. He involved me significantly in the wedding preparations. He took me along when he went to meet the bride-to-be, and I ended up taking the wedding photos. I remember the day after the wedding when his bride and her family wanted to see the photos. We had the pictures developed, but to our dismay, they began to complain. It turned out that the photos were developed incorrectly, making everyone wearing a saree look somewhat peculiar. This didn't go over well, so we had to get all 18 rolls of film redeveloped. There are many stories like this, all of which I will continue to cherish. So, Mohan Anna, thank you for giving me these memories and for affording me the opportunity to see you one last time. I hope our paths will cross again in the future.
