யாழ். தெல்லிப்பழையைப் பிறப்பிடமாகவும், கொழும்பு, யாழ்ப்பாணம், வவுனியா ஆகிய இடங்களை வசிப்பிடமாகவும், கனடா Ontario Scarborough ஐ வதிவிடமாகவும் கொண்ட மனோநாயகம் சோமசுந்தரம் அவர்கள் 04-10-2026 ஞாயிற்றுக்கிழமை அன்று தனது 87ஆவது வயதில் காலமானார்.

அன்னார், காலஞ்சென்றவர்களான செல்லையா சோமசுந்தரம் - செல்வநாயகி சோமசுந்தரம் தம்பதியினரின் அன்பு மகனும்,

தேவகி மனோநாயகம் அவர்களின் அன்புக் கணவரும்,

சுஜித்தா கோபாலகிருஷ்ணன், குமரன் மனோநாயகம் ஆகியோரின் பாசமிகு தந்தையும்,

சோமசுந்தரம் சௌந்தரநாயகம், சோமசுந்தரம் கனகநாயகம் ஆகியோரின் அன்புச் சகோதரரும்,

ஜானகி சௌந்தரநாயகம், ராணி கனகநாயகம் ஆகியோரின் அன்பு மைத்துனரும்,

கோபாலகிருஷ்ணன் மதியாபரணம், மீரா குமரன் ஆகியோரின் அன்பு மாமனாரும்,

சஹானா, நிரேஷ், ரிஷானி, கிரன், லவீனா ஆகியோரின் பாசமிகு பாட்டனாரும் ஆவார்.

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Manonayagam Somasundaram in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada, on October 4, 2026, at the age of 87.

Born in Sri Lanka, he grew up in Tellippalai and worked as a businessman initially in Colombo and later in Jaffna and Vavuniya.

He was the beloved son of Late Chelliah Somasundaram and Late Selvanayaki Somasundaram.

He was the beloved husband of Thevaki Manonayagam and the loving father of Sujitha Gopalakrishnan and Kumaran Manonayagam.

He is survived by his elder brother, Somasuntharam Sountharanayagam and his younger brother, Somasuntharam Kanaganayagam, and his sisters-in-law, Janaki Sountharanayagam and Rani Kanaganayagam.

He is the beloved father-in-law of Gopalakrishnan Mathieyaparanam and Meera Kumaran, and the loving grandfather of Sahana, Niresh, Rishani, Kiran and Laveena.

He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his wife and children, extended family and friends.
