Very sadden by the passing of our dear Rajan Chithappa. Kind, generous, and reliable to a fault. My earliest recollections are as a boy taking him to his Barclay’s bank in London, when he was over from Nigeria. One episode best describes Chithappa to me – I was at college and Chithappa visited my flat in Bayswater after term had finished and we had had a party. The place was a tip…immediately Chithappa said to the boys (Rajeev and Prajeev) they were not leaving until the flat was tidied. That took over an hour, and then while cleaning Chithappa saw on our notice board a statement of flat accounts…and I owed the flat 80 pounds. One the way out Chithappa had left 80 pounds on the table. Chithappa was one of kind and family gatherings will not be the same without a Chithappa speech. Deepest condolences Indiranee anty, Girija, Rajeev, Prajeev and your families. Chithappa may you rest in peace (with a small whiskey).
