It is with great sadness that the family of Kulabalasingham Nirmalan (Nimmy) announces his sudden passing away, on 13th March 2022, at the age of 46.
Nimmy will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends.
He was an accountant by profession (Blace Professional Services Ltd), and a passionate badminton player. Highly regarded member of the badminton community.
Nimmy has been an instrumental member of the BTBF and helped enormously to develop the Tamil (Badminton) community in every aspect. Since he took over the treasury role for BTBF, he worked tirelessly to get the account and financial status to where the club wanted it to be.
He recently represented England at the World Senior Masters Badminton Championship. Nimmy was nominated to become the next president of the World Badminton Tamil Federation (WBTF).
He was a proud Royalist (Royal College, Colombo, 1988 – 1995). Represented the College at Football, Hockey and Rugby.
