யாழ். புலோலி மேற்கு பருத்தித்துறையைப் பிறப்பிடமாகவும், யாழ்ப்பாணம், கொழும்பு, பிரித்தானியா New Malden, Bisley ஆகிய இடங்களை வசிப்பிடமாகவும் கொண்ட கந்தையா திருச்செல்வம் அவர்கள் 06-12-2023 புதன்கிழமை அன்று இறைவனடி சேர்ந்தார்.

அன்னார், சேதுநாதர் கந்தையா, ஆழ்வாபிள்ளை சிவபாக்கியம் தம்பதிகளின் அன்பு மகனும், மகாதேவா பூதப்பிள்ளை வைத்தியலிங்கம், கமலம் இராசநாயகம் தம்பதிகளின் அன்பு மருமகனும்,

காலஞ்சென்ற கந்தையா சிவராஜசிங்கம் மற்றும் இராசமணி பாலசுப்பிரமணியம் ஆகியோரின் அன்புச் சகோதரரும்,

சாந்தா அவர்களின் பாசமிகு கணவரும்,

திருக்குமரன், ஸ்ரீதேவி, திருமுருகன் ஆகியோரின் பாசமிகு தந்தையும்,

போல், அபி ஆகியோரின் அன்பு மாமனாரும்,

ஐலா, லியா, மாயா நோவா ஆகியோரின் பாசமிகு பேரனும்,

பாலா, ராஜீ, யசோதா, பிறேம், காலஞ்சென்ற சாரதா, றபி, மெர்சி ஆகியோரின் அன்பு மைத்துனரும்,

நளாயினி, சேன் ஆகியோரின் பாசமிகு சித்தப்பாவும்,

சுதன், தீபன் ஆகியோரின் மாமாவும் ஆவார்.

மலர் அஞ்சலி செலுத்த விரும்புவோர் 19-12-2023 செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை அன்று மு.ப 09:45 மணிமுதல் மு.ப 10:45 மணிவரை 129 Arethusa Way GU24 9BT எனும் முகவரியில் அமைந்துள்ள அவரது இல்லத்தில் நடைபெறும்.

Thiru arrived into this world and grew up in Puloly West, Point Pedro, Jaffna, Sri Lanka. After numerous adventures in Jaffna and Colombo, he spent a major part of his life in New Malden, UK, before settling in Bisley, UK, for the remainder of his years.

Thiru was the cherished son of Sethunathar Kandiah and Alvapillai Sivapackiam and became the beloved son-in-law of Mahadeva Poothapillai Vaithialingham and Kamalam Rasanayagam.

He was brother to the late Kandiah Sivarajasingham and his living sister Rasamani Balasubramanium.

Thiru leaves behind his beloved wife Shantha, and his children Thirukumaran, Sridevi, and Thirumurugan who loved him dearly. He gained devoted children-in-law Paul and Abi. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Isla, Leah, and Maya Nova.

He was fortunate to gain siblings-in-law, Bala, Raji, Yasotha, Prem, and the late Saratha, Rabi and Mercy. He was fond of his niece and nephews, Nalayani, Suthan, Theepan, and Shane.

Thiru lived by his own rules. He was selfless in his service to his community and developed a large network of close friends along with his beloved family, close and wide.

Thiru’s funeral is on Tuesday, 19th December 2023.

Last respects (flower giving) will take place between 9.45am and 10.45am, 19th December, at 129 Arethusa Way GU24 9BT. Thiru wished to have last rites at his home so please be prepared to queue up outside as the house is modest in size. Parking is also limited due to the residential area.

Thiru will spend his last moments from 12pm at Woking Crematorium, Hermitage Road, GU21 8TJ.

For those who wish to visit Thiru at the weekend, viewings will take place between 2pm and 4pm on Saturday 16th December and Sunday 17th December at Ford Mears funeral home, Creswell Corner, Knaphill, Woking, GU21 2JD.

We know that there are many who wish to pay their last respects. We ask you to respect Thiru’s wishes for simple Hindu (Tamil) funeral ceremonies and rites witnessed by close family.

For those who wish to provide gifts or some form of service in Thiru’s name, we ask you to provide donations to St Peter’s Hospital where he was kindly looked after over several years and where he spent his final days in the best possible comfort.
