In the 1980s, in Jaffna, I remember seeing many people dressed in the style of Mr. Bhagyaraja, wearing clothes and spectacles like you. One of our relatives also dressed very much like you, and many people fondly called him "Bhagyaraja." I also vividly remember seeing posters pasted on the walls across Jaffna announcing the screen of your film Puthiya Vaarpugal in the local cinemas. Thank you for giving Tamil people so many wonderful films. I have also watched your speeches on YouTube every now and then . We also watched the recent events held to honour you. It is still very difficult to believe that you are no longer with us. We pray to God that your soul may rest in eternal peace.
