A Colombo boy-posh and polished Fluent in English with sparkle in your eyes Leadership in gene, so early in your life A genius you were no doubt at all All your life that we have known you Outspoken courageous and ready to face challenge But kind in your heart and ready to help others Never said no at challenging times A specialist in your field earning respect and praise Excelled in your work in challenging NHS Served your patients with specialist skills and advice No matter who what religion or race A loving husband to Sivahami and father to Divyen and Saranga Guided their lives towards prosperous future You will be missed for the rest of their lives With tears in their eyes and distressed mind Why did you not say good bye to us What was in your mind, we are trying to understand Why did you spare us your grief and despair True to your nature your spared us feeling blue No life is immortal but why so early we ask With trembling body and heavy hearts We say good bye to a true dear friend Rest in peace wherever that may be
