You were a part of our childhood memories, fondly known to us as “Zambia Mamy.” Every time you came down from Zambia to Jaffna, you never forgot to bring us chocolates and t-shirts, filling our young hearts with joy. I can still vividly recall how patiently you read an article I had written for a leading English newspaper in Sri Lanka. You praised me generously for the wit and style of my writing, and that encouragement has stayed with me ever since. May your soul rest in peace.
