When I heard about Jame's death, I was shocked, shaken and saddened. As I was lying on bed that night, I asked 'Lord why did you take James so early? I knew James in the seminary although he was younger to me. But what I cannot and will not forget is the day that James and I boarded the Thamilnadu Express in Chennai to New Delhi in order to fly to Rome for both of us were in exile. The three hot days were horrible adding to my pain and uncertainty. James was a kind of security as we travelled together. James stayed in Rome and went to London and worked at the Thamil information centre for some years and I went to USA and spent four years before returning to Sri Lanka. James cared for the poor, led a simple life, he worked with poor and for the poor. Arobanam is his baby and even today the association of Arobanam Children Fund works in UK as a living memory of James. I miss you James and feel sad that I am unable to participate in the funeral service to say my goodbye. My condolences to the family.
