Dr. Krishna Kumpeson, who passed away on December 6, 2023, at the age of 91, at his home in Surbiton, England, He was born on February 15, 1932, at Thambachetty, Point Pedro, Jaffna, Sri Lanka.

He was the loving son of the late C. Krishnapillai and the late Sivapakiam.

Dearest brother of Amirthavally, Mahendran, Mandaleson and the late Manimehalai, Kannagai, and Ponnammah.

Beloved husband of Nithylakshmi.

Loving father of Umi and Vasuki.

Beloved grandfather of Billy, Luke and Eva.

Krishna attended Hartley College, Point Pedro, and Jaffna Central College, Jaffna, Sri Lanka. He went on to attain an MBBS degree from Ceylon University, Colombo, in 1956. Krishna performed his internship at Jaffna Hospital and subsequently worked at Anuradhapura, Hambantota, Veyangoda, and DMH in Colombo and Kurunegale before moving to Zambia, where he practiced as an ear, nose, and throat surgeon and obstetrician. Then, in 1976, he moved with his family and spent the remainder of his life in various parts of the UK, where he retrained and practiced as a psychiatrist.
