Kumar Periappa was my dad’s older brother. I truly got to know him after I moved to London. He and Grace Mami visited me in Minnesota, and we shared a wonderful time together and created beautiful memories. He had a great sense of humor, and through him I learned many stories about my dad. He was kind, helpful, and full of life. Periappa and Grace Mami were avid travelers, continuing to explore even in their later years. I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank his niece Shanthi Acca and nephews Ravindra and Suresh Anna for the love, care, and support they gave him until the end of his life.
