It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother Colonel Ramalingam Harindran. He died peacefully in his sleep on the morning of September 9th. He was quite popular and certainly lived a lavish and exciting life.

He was son of the late Mr. PonnambalamRamalingam ICS (ret.d) and MrsParameswariRamalingam of Nallur, Jaffna.

He was also the much cherished brother of the Late MrsPadminiJebaranarajah (UK), Mrs. Uma Nallainayagam, MrsShanthaSivapragasam and Mr. Sundaresan, (all of Canada).

Col. Harindran was a long standing proud and prominent member of the Free Mason Fraternity of Srilanka. In October of 2003, W. Bro R Harindran was appointed Right Worshipful Grand Inspector.

On June 162006, W Bro Col R. Harindranalso served as the First Provincial Grand Master of Provincial Grand Lodge of SriLanka, under the Grand Lodge of Ireland.

Our brother dedicated his life to helping people and he spent his spare time working with organizations like Sumithrayo, the Rotary club and many other similar service organizations to help improve the quality of life for all.

He was fondly known as Mama by nieces and nephews. A great uncle who loved to spoil his nieces and nephews with nice gifts, and lovely dinners.He was also a Mama Patta to his great nieces and nephews. Hari was a Friend, Guardian, Mentor and a Father figure to us all.
