My beloved Thambi, Shan. You were a gentle, kind, compassionate and genuine person. You never judged others , nor have you held a grudge. You were always willing to help and because of that we could count on you without any hesitation. As the eldest son , you did an excellent job in shouldering the responsibilities of the family. You were a man of few words, but your presence spoke volumes. Your gentle smile and soft voice would light up the room. You and Raji were a perfect couple, showing respect and having understanding for each other and the extended families. An example of this is when we were living in Zambia, we had made a couple of trips to England. Those days travel meant you could take two massive suitcases per traveller and don’t forget the carry-on bags. We would land up at your place and not give any thought of how inconvenient it would be to your family. Suitcases blocking the hallways and doors, kids running around, and visitors coming and going. You both never once showed any annoyance or made us feel uncomfortable or unwelcome. Thank you . We thank God for the full and beautiful life you were blessed with.
