In memory of my father, Apputhurai Balasubramaniam, I reflect on the unique relationship we had. While we may not have shared the closest bond, I am filled with gratitude for the many ways he positively influenced my life. He taught me the importance of discipline and dedication— qualities that have shaped my character and mindset both in sports and beyond. My father strongly believed in the value of education and worked tirelessly to ensure that all children could benefit from a good schooling. This commitment to learning and personal growth has left a lasting impact on me and inspires me to strive for excellence in everything I do. Though our connection may not have been the deepest, the lessons and values he instilled in me will always remain a part of who I am.
