It is with great sadness that the family of Alfred Mathuranayagam Brodie Jr. (Known as Brodie Master) announces his peaceful passing on Sunday, March 7, 2021, at the age of 91 years in Melbourne, Australia.
Alfred Brodie was a beloved teacher, decorated sportsman and dedicated coach who served the students and community of Jaffna College, Vaddukoddai, Sri Lanka for 31 years.
Alfred will be lovingly remembered by his wife Silverene and his four children Swendreni (Bonney), Swendraraj (Sharmini), Shamaleni (Shanthikumar) and Bala (Sushama). Alfred will also be earnestly remembered by his 11 grandchildren Michelle, Samantha, Michael, Shawn, Samson, Jordan, Shashini, Sandra, Sabina, Stephen, Adrian and great grandchildren Ronin & Kylo.
Alfred is the son of Late Mr. & Mrs. A.M Brodie Sr, and is brother to Leela (Deceased), Kamala (Deceased), Saras (Deceased), Navaratnam (Deceased), Thirugnam (Colombo), Pathma (Deceased), Gunawathy (London), Singarajah (Deceased) & Pushpa (Toronto).
